Training with heart and brain: our educational afternoon
Twice a year, the Schmetterling kindergarten NÖ focuses on the pedagogical afternoon. This special half-day is dedicated to the further training of our employees. External experts organize practical workshops and provide valuable input on topics such as creative pedagogical approaches, developmental psychology, media education or mindfulness and self-care.
Our aim is to constantly improve the quality of our work and to make our day-to-day teaching enriching and inspiring – for our children and our team.

Today we were delighted to open the second group at the Herzogenburg site – our ladybug group in the SAN Group company kindergarten! 💛
Shortly after the start of the first group, it was clear that there was a great demand – and the concept, team and premises were convincing.
We are incredibly proud to be able to work with the SAN Group to design a kindergarten of the highest standard. 🙌

St. Nicholas party at the Schmetterling kindergarten
The anticipation of St. Nicholas is palpable here at Kindergarten Schmetterling! Together, we lovingly prepare for his visit – with songs, poems, handmade sacks and exciting stories about St. Nicholas, the Bishop of Myra.
Our focus:
- No blame and praise from – we focus on joy!
- The children learn that St. Nicholas is a person in disguise and we remember the true story of St. Nicholas.
- After the celebration, we take time to talk about the experiences and discover the presents in the sack.
With a lot of heart and pedagogical sensitivity, we create an unforgettable celebration for the children – full of warmth and shining eyes!
Lots of outdoor activities - playing and discovering
At Kindergarten Schmetterling NÖ, we attach great importance to the children spending lots of time in the fresh air. Our garden is divided into two areas that offer the little ones a variety of play opportunities.
The lower area is ideal for vehicles, as fall protection mats provide the necessary surface. Here the children will also find a small climbing area that invites them to explore. The upper area offers a green meadow, a net swing, another climbing area and a sandpit – all specially tailored to the children’s needs.
Depending on the daily routine and weather conditions, we make intensive use of these areas to give the children a time in the kindergarten that is rich in movement and close to nature. Our ‘grasshoppers’ also particularly enjoy short walks in the surrounding area, where there are always exciting things to discover in nature.
At the Schmetterling kindergarten, the children experience new adventures outdoors every day – for healthy development and an unforgettable kindergarten time!
A strong team for childcare with passion
Over the past few months, we have searched intensively for the right colleagues – and we are proud to have found the best professionals. Each new team member brings valuable skills and experience, but above all they share one thing: a passion for working with children. Due to the increasing number of children in the Grashüpfer group, we have specifically expanded our team in order to continue to guarantee the best possible care. Our teaching staff are not only professional, but also passionate about their work.
So you can be sure that your child will grow up in an environment in which they feel comfortable, are supported and can develop their individual strengths.
Creative activities
At Kindergarten Schmetterling NÖ, the needs and development of the children always take center stage. Special attention is paid to creative activities that encourage the children’s imagination and individual expression. Painting with their hands in particular has proven to be an outstanding activity that has numerous positive effects on children’s development.
Painting with their hands gives children the opportunity to train their sensory perceptions and motor skills in a playful way. They directly experience how colors and shapes change when they dip their fingers and palms into the paint and transfer it to the paper. This direct experience of the materials not only promotes fine motor skills, but also strengthens the children’s self-confidence, as they can immediately see and feel the results of their creative activity.
Everyday English
At our kindergarten Schmetterling NÖ, we attach great importance to a holistic and modern education. A central component of our educational concept is early contact with the English language. Our experienced, English-speaking kindergarten assistant Bojana looks after the children with a lot of heart and dedication and speaks only English.
Thanks to Bojana’s loving care and constant presence, the children have the opportunity to experience and learn the English language through games and everyday activities.
This early and natural contact with several languages supports cognitive development and at the same time awakens the children’s curiosity about other cultures and languages.
We are proud that our kindergarten provides an environment in which the children feel secure and at the same time their language skills are encouraged.
Opening of Kindergarten Schmetterling NÖ
Today, on 1 July 2024, we celebrated the opening of the Schmetterling NÖ kindergarten with great joy! It is wonderful to see that the hard work has paid off and that children’s laughter now fills the rooms. Together with the SAN Group, we have created one of the most modern and innovative kindergartens. A big thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly on this project. Your commitment and passion have made this special day possible!
Now the familiarisation phase begins, allowing the children to gently get used to their new kindergarten routine. This phase is crucial to give the children and their families a gentle and stress-free start. Our experienced team are on hand to lovingly guide the children and make the transition as comfortable as possible.

Great news at SAN Group GmbH: The company kindergarten is about to open!
Amid anticipation and commitment, the opening of SAN Group GmbH’s company kindergarten is fast approaching. The finishing touches are currently being applied with dedication, and soon the previously empty rooms will be filled with the cheerful laughter of children.
A dedicated team of managers has worked tirelessly to create a unique learning environment that meets the children’s needs. From lovingly designed rooms to pedagogically valuable programmes – the SAN Group GmbH company kindergarten focuses on promoting children’s development.
Those responsible are excited about the imminent opening and can hardly wait to welcome the first families with their children. The positive response within the company and the local community reflects the importance of such an offer for the compatibility of work and family life.
